We were actually staying at a 3 star hotel in downtown but it did not meet our expectations so we decided to leave early and booked this hotel. The staff at the 1st hotel were trying to convince us to stay and when we told them we are going to Mar Charbel, they initially told us it would be the same as the 1st hotel. When I showed them pics of Mar Charbel, they couldn't believe a hotel like that existed for the price. They asked others about it and finally came back to tell me that it was a new hotel and very nice. The location of Mar Charbel was excellent...in the middle of downtown with walking distance to many restaurants and shopping. The staff were very friendly and helpful. They ordered food for us and got it delivered to our rooms. Breakfast was also excellent with a buffet of many choices and with someone who made fresh crepes and omelets. The rooms were very clean, spacious, and very comfortable.

the hotel is very close to the American embassy (10 min walking ) I had an appointment at the embassy early in the morning and needed to be there on time so I chose this hotel which was enough for a safe ,clean one night stay ..the hotel is not fancy (if you are looking for a fancy ,shiny stay don't stay here) yet it ls clean ,safe and people are friendly ..the breakfast had the essential food ( eggs ,salad ,fruits ,cereal ,beans ,bakery ) not a big fancy buffet ,yet had almost everything needed for a fine breakfast I liked that I could walk to the hotel yet at night seemed not a good area to walk as 2 females alone so we used uber ...if you like to have a walk around it would be better to take an uber to the center which will only take 5 min ride . the window has no view ..was not a problem for me as I was only staying for a night and on a mission . I enjoyed my stay ..

We were actually staying at another hotel close by which was a very old 3 star hotel and we quickly checked out of it even though we had it booked for 4 nights. We switched over to Mar Charbel and were so happy we did! It is a new hotel located in downtown and very affordable. The rooms were spacious, clean, bright, and updated. The bathroom was spacious as well. The ladies at the reception were very sweet, friendly, welcoming, and super helpful. They even helped me order food from restaurants to be delivered to my room. Breakfast at the hotel had an assortment of foods. There were many shops and restaurants walking distance to the hotel. I would highly recommend this place!

The price is such a deal! You get so much. Breakfast was great. It would have been nicer on the 13th floor, but the spread was pretty varied! We loved having shisha and a drink on the roof top at night. The staff was amazing, attentive, flexible with check in times. Our room was wonderful! We had a large room with a balcony. The location was amazing and safe - just a walk down to Tahrir Square and the Nile. We are already talking about our next trip to Cairo, bringing our kids, and booking two rooms at the same hotel. Thank you from my husband and I for an incredible stay! We will be back with our whole family:)

I stayed here and absolutely loved it! The hotel is very clean and beautiful, with a fantastic location, everything is nearby and convenient. The food is delicious and offers a great variety, with new dishes every day. A special thanks to the receptionists, Nasry and Sherine, they are very friendly and always helpful with any questions. LAST BUT NOT LEAST, the coffee here is rich, smooth, and full of flavor. The machine brews it perfectly every time, making each cup a real treat. I highly recommend this hotel and will definitely come back! 😊
